A CD presentation can replace a paper catalogue, company pamphlets and documents, extensive promotional materials and many other forms of media. The presentation can therefore be used for existing or potential clients as well as for in-house purposes. Compared to Web pages, CD presentations have the following advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages:

The possibility to use up to 650 MB of space
Easy portability of the presentation
The presentation can be run on most computers
Lower costs of 1 CD
Simple copying

Disadvantages:

Moulded CDs cannot be updated

Creation of a CD presentation involves:

design of the structure
creation of a special design
insertion of all the data required (pictures, video, animations, text)
CD cover design
moulding and printing of the required number
